Entity and activity description Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. Job Responsibilities * Implement and supervise preventive routine maintenance of control systems and interfaces, including hardware and software.* Resolve DCS / PLC control system and troubleshooting issues within the Gulf Coast ASU and H2 Pipeline facilities.* Provide technical and troubleshooting support to operations for process events as it relates to control systems.* Control Systems focal point providing or coordinating technical assurance of control systems.* Develop scope and implement control system modifications according to established Management of Change policy and in compliance with corporate and industry guidelines.* Participate in development of long-range control system strategies for obsolescence and upgrades.* Participate in Level 1-3 incident investigations to evaluate root cause of control system related events.* Participate in plant level automation projects of existing equipment or new equipment installations including Factory. Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, project startup and troubleshooting activities.* Ensure all system configurations and graphics are backed up and archived according to established guidelines and policies.* Provide technical support in the development of SOP's as related to control system operations, as required.* Provide input to TAR planning, scope of work and job plans.* Provide support during TAR and start up activities.* Participate in technical and safety reviews (e.g. PSSR) to ensure HSSE compliance and technical integrity in design.* Train and advise maintenance personnel in basic control system troubleshooting.* Define and maintain adequate control system spares inventory.* Carry a mobile phone and respond to requests for technical assistance during off-duty hours. General Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR High School Diploma/Equivalent AND 10+ years work experience in Control Systems.* Thorough working knowledge of any of the following: Yokogawa Centum VP Siemens APACS, Foxboro IA, ABB Bailey Net-90/Infi-90, Emerson Delta V distributed control systems, Siemens-TI 505 Series, Modicon or Allen-Bradley PLCs, WonderWare HMI.* Strong knowledge of process control theory. Working knowledge of industry standards; e.g., ISA and IEC.* 5+ years in Control systems.* Proficient in Google Chrome apps, particularly, Gmail and Google Sheets.* Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Good communication skills, written and oral. Able to effectively interface with other engineering disciplines/organizations, plant operations, and senior management.
