Job Description – Payments Business Analyst Being Part of EY India Business Consulting – PI – Payments Practice Being part of EY India Business Consulting – Performance Improvement (PI) – Payments practice, you shall be a member of multidimensional team who shall provide thought leadership and domain advisory to various Banking GCCs in India. You shall support EY India Banking GCC clients with various payments advisory work related to payments strategy transformation, business readiness, payments controls, payments operational excellence, payments fraud and compliance, payments support functions, solution design for payments COTS implementation and ISO20022 adoption. This position shall enable you to build strong industry network, build expertise in payments domain advisory and be part of an ecosystem creating positive business impact to large consumer base globally. Role Pre-requisites:Talent with extensive experience in supporting financial institutions (Banks, Clearing Agents or NBFC) with payments advisory or payments COTS implementation or payments transformation. Should have knowledge of various banking segments – retail / corporate / investment banking Should have knowledge of end-to-end payment life cycle (from initiation until settlement) Should understand the payments processing ecosystem (digital channels, payments gateway, surround ecosystem such as core banking, limit, FX, fraud, sanctions etc.) Should have in-depth knowledge of one of more payments schemes such as RTGS, SWIFT, ACH, RTP. Should have experience in supporting Tier1/Tier2 banks with either new scheme adoption or existing scheme upgrades for any of the countries in global markets such as APAC/Europe/UK/Middle East/US. Should have extensive knowledge with payments messages - ISO20022 (must), SWIFT MT, ISO8583. Should have hand-on experience helping Tier1/Tier2 banks with ISO20022 adoption (i.e., payments messages set MT-MX translation, ISO20022 payments field mapping) Should have knowledge of one or more Payments COTS application (could be likes of Finastra Fusion GPP, FIS OPF, ACI UPF, Fiserv EPP, Volante VolPay Hub, IBM FTM, ICON PH solutions, SIA Perago, SWIFT, Vocalink IPS etc.) Should have knowledge/experience with payments operations (queue management, contact centres operation, clearing/settlement management, reconciliation, reporting etc) Should understand various payments emerging trends such as Wallets, QR, Blockchain, P2P, CBDC etc. Should have experience being part of AGILE delivery environment. What shall keep you engaged at work? Perform requirement gathering, analysis, elicitation and design for payments program. Support in requirements prioritization and requirements backlog maintenance. Prepare various business/product manual and functional specification document. Assist in sketching user-journey maps for payments experiences and workflows. Support in payments operational excellence activities such as payments operations re-engineering, RPA, operations readiness for new product/scheme/platform launch. Support in new payments product/scheme/platform launch activities such as market assessment (outside-in and inside-out view), product adoption roadmap, communications, training etc. Draft roadmaps, use cases, user-stories, business process flowcharts, requirement traceability matrix, business process descriptions and wireframes to support payments technology engineering. Create and maintain product backlogs, prioritize backlogs to deliver business value and mitigate risks. Support payments quality assurance activities i.e., support SIT / UAT / Industry Testing Support in program delivery planning (functional) and estimation Support with all BA ceremonies in AGILE delivery working environment Support all essential governance activities including working group & steering committee through documentation including meeting minutes and recording of agreed actions Supporting the engagement team during functional validation and deployment of the solution Developing strong value-driven relationships with clients and enable collaborative environment Contribute to EY Business Consulting PI Cards and Payments practice operations and GTM activities Publish/Contribute in creating Payments PoV and white-papers publications Credentials to qualify:MBA from Premiere/Tier1 B-schools. Minimum experience of 5+ years as Business Analyst. Experience in Banking/Payments program delivery/Payments advisory/IT & Operations engagements. Career background with any top financial services consulting firms or leading financial institutions (Banks, Clearing Agents or NBFC) or IT services firms supporting banking clients.
