Apparel Design Intern #cloud #security #quality #design #aws #aws #programming #language #testing #microsoft #management #azure #cloudcomputing RESPONSIBILITIES: Support, collaborate with and learn from the Product, Merchandising and Design teams across all functions. Design Responsibilities: Research and understand sustainable trends in fabric and color. Create and colCADs in illustrator. Assist design team with tech pack updates after weekly fittings and seasonal sign off meetings. Prepare lab dips, send comments and update lab dip charts to record comments. Contribute to design team effort by taking on additional initiatives as needed. Occasionally assist with organizing looks fseasonal photo shoots. Product Responsibilities: Assist in the review and approval of fabric, trim, coland artwork submits. Participate in weekly fittings, take notes fdesign updates. Maintain and optimize the materials library and trim menu, including test reports and quality analysis. Gain a clear understanding of design lifecycle from concept through to production. Research and understand sustainable product trends, historical data and departmental input at category/class level in order to manage in-season opportunities and/risks. Contribute to product and merchandising team effort by taking on additional initiatives as needed. REQUIREMENTS: BA/BFA degree, currently obtaining a degree in apparel Design. Proficiency using Adobe Illustratrequired. 1+ year relevant experience in a fast-paced, creative environment. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel). Positive and supportive, able to work under pressure with a helpful attitude. Motivated, professional and well spoken, with excellent written communication skills. Extremely well-organized, with a meticulous eye fdetail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities. Comfortable working independently.
